Gyeongbokgung Palace was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, founded at the coronation of the king Taejo in 1392. The new King Taejo decide that Hanyang (later Seoul) will become the new capital in 1394. The location was chosen according to the Chinese principle of Fengshui, being located between 2 Mountains.
